Take a moment and reflect on who you are. What words come to mind? How would you describe yourself? When I think about you, two amazing things pop into my mind before we even meet. One, you are a reflection of God. Then as if that wasn’t enough, you are one of His greatest masterpieces. Typically, great works of art reference paintings or sculpture found in museums or art galleries around the world. Rarely, do we pause to consider ourselves as handcrafted creations made to reflect our Creator, but that is the very essence of who we are.
It’s too easy to forget the truth about who we are in today’s society. To, instead, be weighed down by life’s disappointments, expectations, and the feeling that “I am not enough.” The truth is that no matter what happened, you were created in wonder and made for so much more in this life. The meditations below explore this concept using three passages of Scripture: Genesis 1:25-27, Ephesians 2:10, and Psalms 139:13-15. They also use different techniques to help you fully engage with the concept. Hopefully, this will be the beginning to uncovering all the amazing gifts you have to offer the world.
As you engaged in these meditations, let the labels, negativity, and limitations of the past float away and embrace who God reveals you to be.
